Rainer Daumiller Pine Armchair for Hirtshals

Sculptural waxed pine armchair by German born designer Rainer Daumiller. Daumiller’s designs were heavily influenced by his time studying in Denmark. His use of pine for this armchair in collaboration with Hirtshals Savværk, went against the more popularized teak and rosewood frames used by his contemporaries. This piece is waxed instead of varnished, giving it a more honest and organic appearance.
