Returns & Deliveries

DELIVERY

We endeavour to dispatch items in stock by the first Monday following the receipt of orders. Transit time will depend on your location. UK orders often arrive in 1 to 2 days, items shipped to continental Europe are usually delivered within 7 working days. All orders are trackable and insured.

Cost

All shipping costs are visible at the time of your orders placement and on your order confirmation. We aim to get quotations for shipping to the destinations not covered by our website to you within 48 hours.

Brexit

All purchases for international shipping no longer contain UK VAT. Therefore, you may be required to pay import duties at the rate of the destination country’s VAT.

Damage

Goods must be checked immediately upon arrival at the agreed delivery location. In case of any damage, a description and photographs of the damage must be reported in writing within 4 days of the goods delivery. Please retain all packaging materials. All questions are welcomed via email info@aelfred.co.uk.

RETURNS

We have a 14-day return policy for online orders, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, with tags, and in its original packaging. You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. All return costs and organisation are to be covered by the customer.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Please note that if your country of residence is not United Kingdom, shipping your goods may take longer than expected.

Outside of the 14 day online returns window, our in store Cirkulær Returns Policy will then apply in line with the following terms: 

'Here at Ælfred our passion and ethos is to always be as sustainable as possible, to limit our contribution to furniture waste and fad culture, every furniture purchase with us is eligible for returns without a time limit in exchange for store credit.

In line with our Cirkulær policy terms and conditions, the item will be assessed and the amount reimbursed in store credit will be dependent on condition and duration of purchase. All return costs, delivery and organisation are to be handled by the customer.'

Damages and Issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we may evaluate the issue and make it right. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 3 day cooling off period Notwithstanding the above, if merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 3 days for any reason and without justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return to let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
