Berit Woelfer Rug

This gorgeous rug was created by swedish textile designer Berit König Woelfer in the 1960's-70's. Woelfer studied at Konstfack and worked with names such as Elsa Gullbery, Svensk Hemslöjd and Kasthall. She specialised in both flat-woven/Röllakan and tufted carpets. 

This particular piece features a minimalist stripe and triangle geometric pattern, emphasised by the rich tones and colour gradient of beiges and browns. Acquired from the designer's former Malmö studio, this piece is believed to have been a studio test weave. 

In good overall condition, there is some staining to the underside of the rug which can been see pictured.
