Arne Basse Side Table with Oak Base and Removable Ceramic Bowl

This Mid-Century Danish piece was designed by Arne Basse in collaboration with Poul Hundevad in the 2960s, and it's a genius example of functional design.

It features a minimalist solid oak or teak interlocking frame with crisp, structural cross-stretchers.  The removable glazed ceramic insert was crafted by the Danish artist Arne Basse, often characterised by rough textures on the exterior and rich, smoother glazes inside.

While technically a small side table or smoking stand, its design makes it a versatile piece, also for use as a premium mid-century modern plant stand.
