Designed by Erik Kirkegaard for Høng Stolefabrik, the Model 52 armchair is a masterwork of mid-century ergonomic design. The frame is expertly crafted from solid teak, featuring a dramatic, A-line leg structure that provides exceptional stability while maintaining a slim aesthetic.
Its most defining design feature is the sculptural, wrap-around backrest, which is steam-bent into a wide horseshoe curve to double as integrated armrests, showcasing the rich, fluid grain of the timber. The "floating" seat upholstered in supple leather, suspended between the side rails to emphasise the chair's geometric precision. With its refined joinery and low-slung, open silhouette, the Model 52 balances the warmth of organic materials with a sharp, modernist edge, making it as much a functional desk chair as it is a standout dining piece.
