Falcon Armchair by Sigurd Ressell

Iconic armchair designed by Norwegian designer Sigurd Ressell. Designed in 1970, this iteration (most likely manufactured after 1974) varies slightly from the original: with its solid stained beech frame emulating rosewood, canvas sling, chrome hardware, and deep brown leather upholstery which covers the addition of winged arm rests, this model was produced by Norwegian furniture manufacturer Vatne Møbler.

The success and elegance of Ressell’s design resulted in the production of the Falcon Chair for over 30 years, firmly planting its hammock silhouette in the Scandinavian design canon.
