Painting by Johannes Hofmeister

This print is an excellent example of artist Johannes Hofmeister's body of work. Born in northern Denmark Hofmeister was completely self-taught and pursued a career in the arts after attending a lecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1939. His work is predominantly landscape based and often took inspiration from the area Hofmeister was living at the time.

It boasts a simplistic silver metal frame and a signature in the bottom left corner. This particular piece has sustained some water damage to the painting's boarder however the painting remains undamaged.
