Painting by Viggo Kragh-Hansen

This painting is by artist Viggo Kragh-Hansen, born in 1910 Hansen was a Danish painter. His subject matter ranged from portraits to landscapes, this piece is a wonderful example of his observational work dated 1987. Using a very muted colour palette of purples blues and greys, Hansen uses oil paints to create this peaceful winter scene. 

The painting features a thin pine box frame, the artist's signature in the bottom right-hand corner and on the reverse of the canvas.
