Designed by Sigurd Resell for Vatne Møbler, this square coffee table is a striking piece of mid-century Norwegian design that highlights dynamic, organic geometry. The table features a thick square smoked glass top with rounded corners, whose translucent dark tint offers a moody, modern surface while allowing full visual appreciation of the architectural wooden base beneath.

The frame is expertly crafted from bent beechwood, sculpted into four sweeping arms that meet at a central hub. These bent wood elements curve smoothly upward to form a cradle for the glass top before extending downward into wide, splayed legs anchored by visible hardware detailing. The dynamic contrast between the angular glass pane and the fluid, dark-stained timber gives this table a light yet grounded sculptural presence.
