Sunset Pastel Drawing

This piece is a very bold pastel drawing seemingly depicting the sun over water. The darker tones and use of deep blues and blacks suggests it is dusk as the setting sun casts shadows over the trees and the land at the edge of the water. The use of pastels blends the tones and colours creating a very soft and smooth texture to the piece. The white highlights throughout the piece are created by the absence of medium, pulling the white base of the paper through the pastel to create the outlines and light. 

The drawing features a slim simplistic silver metal frame.
