Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgaard Nielsen 317 Chair

Created by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen for Søborg Møbelfabrik in Denmark, during the 1960's. This chair, titled the '317', features a teak frame and upholstered leather seat. The quality of the craftsmanship can be seen in the detailing of the frame, with the rounded teak legs sitting flush within the upholstered seat. The expertly manufactured soft curved lines of the frame extending from the ergonomic angled back rest to the sleek arms. This chair is an excellent example of timeless mid-century design, combining expert craftsmanship with unique design.
